Taki coated air fried jalapeño poppers

The other day at Publix I saw these bootiful jalapeños and the first thing I thought of was how much I wanted to stuff them and try air frying them. I’ve always loved jalapeño poppers but I wanted something quick and easy without the hassle of deep frying. And these babies only take 5 minutes in the air fryer! How convenient and easy is that?! I also got the idea of using a taki bread crumb coating from Stephanie Soo on YouTube. I love watching her true crime mukbangs and she had stuffed a jalapeño with cream cheese and then inserted some takis inside. It looked really yummy so I used that idea and turned it into a whole jalapeño popper.

  • 10-12 medium to large jalapeños
  • PAM oil spray
  • garlic salt for topping

Filling Ingredients:

  • 1 package Boursin garlic and fine herb cheese
  • 2-3 oz plain cream cheese
  • 1/3 of the tub of chive whipped cream cheese
  • 7 oz of your favorite shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Taki crumb coating Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp melted salted butter
  • 3 tbsp-1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1-2 tbsp crushed takis
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder

  1. Halve and deseed all of the jalapeños.
  2. Mix together all the filling ingredients into a small bowl.
  3. In another small bowl mix all the ingredients for the taki crumb coating.
  4. Fill the jalapeños with the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Dip the jalapeños into the taki crumb coating cream cheese face down.
  6. Arrange the jalapeño poppers in the air fryer, spray with PAM and air fry at 390 degrees for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle some garlic salt on each if needed and enjoy hot!
