Note to self: This is one of the easiest Pakistani recipes you can make! Trust me, it’s so delicious and simple AND it doesn’t even require a lot of ingredients! Lately, i’ve been trying to jot down and learn as many recipes as I can from my mom. But it seems that no matter how much I learn I find more and more Pakistani recipes that I don’t know how to cook. So I’m starting out with more simpler and common ones like biryani, korma and chicken tikka masala and then eventually will try the harder more time consuming ones like nihari, paya, and haleem. I just really like spending time with my mom and cooking with her. She’s full of tips and ideas and teaches in a way where it’s simple and easy. I know one day I’ll look back and treasure these moments. Since I live a state away, I often remember her every time I cook…Often I find myself asking what would she do or sometimes when I don’t know what to talk about I call her to ask a simple cooking question I already know the answer to just to hear her voice. I know eventually these recipes will be handed down from generation to generation and I’m glad I get to be a part of that legacy. Of being able to commemorate her passion for cooking and leaving behind something for my future kids inshaAllah and their kids and so on. I hope to instill a passion for cooking to not only my family but you guys out there following my blog just as my mom did for me. Anyways, I know I got a little rambly there but definitely try out this recipe! It’s super yummy and really easy!
