Note to self: Do you ever have one of those days where all you want is a slice of cake? I feel like that’s the story of my life. I have such a sweet tooth that I get these random cravings in the middle of the night hence how this recipe came about. It wasn’t meant to be a blog post tbh but it turned out way better than I thought it would so I decided to make it into a post anyways. Even though it was from a boxed cake, the additions of the extra ingredients totally made it fluffy and bakery like. It almost tasted like pound cake if I’m honest and face it, who doesn’t love a good pound cake. I don’t know who was the original author of this recipe as I found it on Pinterest but I’ll post up the picture that someone posted.
I changed it a bit and used buttermilk instead of milk and a little less butter because I was afraid it wouldn’t set up and bake properly. (Looking back on it I laughed because 1 tbsp clearly wouldn’t have made a difference but in the middle of the night, half delirious it made sense at the time. lolll, anyways, totally worth it and doesn’t need any frosting at all. It actually tastes better without it!
